Yes! Grinning monkey has aquired rather a few medals. The big fat one has been given to him for taking part and running the Medway Mile, the one underneath it was Bickmore Park go carting, some for his football (which sadly he no longer wants to do until he is older as he really does get upset when people mistake his legs for the ball) and he has a few medals that he got when he took part in smaller competitions. He loves his football trophe and the wining cup from the Buckmore park. Every once in a while we look at them and talk about winning but not with any price. He is loving his room as it has only his things in it. Currently he is into SONIC characters but loves his lego and Mario too....
I know I keep saying its so nice to be able to walk to Rochester Castle and watch the ships go bye and often various good activities around there. We like to use bike, scooters and make a trip out there every so often. Here daddy has taken them for an icecream and they are telling me how the older boys were doing real acrobatics there....! Both boys are so good together. I am not to keen on their eveing pretend fighting sessions but I think boys...well thats what I am gona have to cope with hey?! We are busy still swimming, football (trying to keep that light burning...but might take a break) cycling at our much loved cyclopark and enjoying the various activities at home in between....really not much time to get bored or waste. I had refrained from play dates after school as both boys get tired and we tend to do things together but this week we had two playdates. I think I will stick to no playdates as both boys were rather excited and turbo -ed when needing to get ready for bed...:)) I am just amazed at how school is taking over our lifes....not sure I am likeing it. Nearly every day we have some homework activities and this week we have to attend a MATHS session (this for teaching us how to teach maths to our 5 years old). Reuben is almost the youngets in his class. I have no concerns about his phonics as he knows all letters and numbers and confident blender:)) (yap that means he can put letters into words), what I am slightly worried about they now have to write words some of which are 4 letters and more. Joined writing and proper writing when they had not really got confident at writing just individual letters....R can write most letters individually but gets disheartened when needs to write long words....I can totally feel his pain...! I will be back with update!
