Hello

Its been a hard two weeks. It turns out R had a soar throat but I thought it was teething....ups! He also had his first famous fall and its now rolling like mad! He started trying to crawl but gets a bit lazy when it comes to lifting his body weight....he loves "In the Night Garden" a story that is on BBC2 at 10am.
Here some pictures we took of him yesterday when we came home from shopping....he was sohappy to be home and enjoy the toys!

As for this week, we had some visitors today Elena and Nicholas and today mummy and Annamaria both feel really ill so its just plodding around the house.....

Hello everybody!

We had an interesting week with R being ill...off course we only realised he had a cold when his nose started to runn....he had a few nights when nearly every 10-15 mins we were up and also a few nights when we took it in turns to survive....
Anyway, we think we have turned a corner no sign of teeth but we are getting over the cold. Maria has been down with a cold too still we made it to Cambridge over the weekend which was nice. We only stayed a few hours and enjoyed some of the sunshine.
We saw a COW and Reuben was very intrigued so the picture is talking for itself. He had a good night and mummy and daddy also went to support Jim and Ian on their sleep out last night at the MHS homes offices in the dockside. There was a very good speach by our lovely Terry Wait who came and saw us and chatted to us a bit while we were helping Jim set up for his sleep out. the atmosphere was incredible....it was freezing cold and it really gave people who were there a glimps into what its like to be homeless and sleep in cardboards. We saw some amazingly decorated cardboards ....I guess people felt so artistic but the most I liked the one made out of Big Issue pages....shame there wasn;t a contest for the best cardboard house....(it would have been taking the focus away I guess...)
Anyway here some pictures of our weekend.

Ah, Reuben had a huge fall today from his bed in the bedroom straight on the floor he cried for about 5 mins....it was so sad although next thing he was again trying to move to the edge...kids never learn....well it won;t be the last fall we imagine.

Aso he started to put his head on mummys shoulder which is so sweet....thats when he is tired....he is starting to comunicate by turning his face away if something is not of his likeing but also if he had enough...which is every 2 mins. He is a bounceing wiggler tiger!

OK This is a pic taken of R ..who has been in loads of teething pain which now also been accompanied by a cold....so we are up loads but I think this pic decribes our son most....thoughtful at times yet with a hint of mischief and always one sock missing!! So we are always looking for the other one....
I am sure he is just playing with us.

Anyway also in the pic is a blue cardigan sent to us by granny Smith who hand made it for us! It will keep us warm especially in the mornings when we are cold and the house is cold too.

Reuben 6months and one week

Hello

Reuben has been teething so badly. ITs been so difficult for him....and us. Sleepless nights and a lot of other things....but really we are coping. Here some pics of R enjoying some spinich and basil today! Off course like every good child he enjoys sitting on his table part of his highchair and not in the chair itself....oh dear are we on the way of SPOIL-EDGE?!He is too cute and suffering too much for me to be all boundaried with him....

Reuben 6 months old

Reuben has turned 6months old...we are excited at what is going on....teething that seems to take for ever and swimming, enjoying longer times between naps....(aaaaahh maybe) sleepless nights (less enjoying there for mummy and daddy but serious excitment for R) and now the latest is not just turning from back to front and trying to sit up but also doing the cheeky monkey walk and talk and climbing on anything that we can reach with our hands. The serious look of mischief on his face when he figures out a way of nearly getting up on his feet or doing something that he thinks we have not anticipated....ahhhhh He loves when daddy arrives home in the evenings and we make a huge deal out of it. Daddy first has to see if he is awake then he has to ring the bell knock on the door and finally appear.....hurray its a daaaaaaaddddyyy! Not a boring old mummy! Anyway life its busy busy.... REUBEN SWIMMING AND WITH MUMMY AND DADDY 12th January 2008

Hello

We had a nice day....just relaxing, after therapy (mum;s) we went to swim in the afternoon and Reuben's friend Cameron came too! Cammy was a little shy of the water but Reuben showed off a bit...(having been before in the deep) and so in the end everyone had a good time....! UPs, except R at the end when mummy lost her ballance and dipped R in the water three times just like at the Christening...kind of well...it was scary but we have survived it!

CHeering up my granny

Hello

Today Granny had an eye operation back in Romania. She is recovering well and she will be seeing so much better R now that her catharacts(ap?!) are removed! HURRAY!R has been enjoying this week pretty much but also had some trouble with constipation due to trying to get used to powder we should have done it more gently...he enjoys his solids and seems to sleep better fingers crossed!

Mummy is in the mids of her exams but excited at the thought that she is going home for a months with R and daddy (well daddy will be coming back after 1 week). Anyway, life is good...right now....Annamaria still with us enjoying Smith;s crazy world.
Mummy still enjoys the driving...when daddy leaves the car with us!

I think it is becoming a necesity to get a second car for mummy or being donated one?! Anyone who feels like helping do let us know!!!!

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN

R has been teething badly but no teeth yet! We had an interesting first week of the year 2008. Daddy was off on Friday so Mummy drove everyone to Bwater (where else?) where we met with Helen, Andrew, Ana, Peter and Simon (Helen JOnathan;s sister and her family) we jusr realised we had not taken any pictures but hey ho will do next time. IT was a long day as we were there for nearly 8 hours but was good fun. Mummy and Annamaria even managed to get some stuff from the sales...
Then Saturday we had neighbours over and went swimming. It was rather refreshing but really interesting....and R has slept from 8:30ish til he needed his feeds and through the nights with a bit of belly ache at 6 in the morning. Today we went to church and then to Noeleen and Calv for lunch....yes, busy busy week. This following week won;t be any easier too...we have visitors and hope to go swimming too!

January sales

Anyone wants a teething baby? He has been cute and good really but sometimes he gets so frustrating its hard to manage even with the three of us. Today is bye bye daddy and hope his day back in the office is good and goes quick. We have seen Sian and Jasmin, Jenny and Jospeh at the normal Wednesday venue and were able to enjoy a quick chat. Reuben was a bit moody but eventually quietened down. NIghts are still interesting but we are hoping that the 6months age will change some things?!
Anyway, just a few pictures of mummy and daddy enjoying some COSTA coffee at Bwater (where else) and Reuben enjoying his outings. Its so cold here its discouraging going anywhere else. But at least mummy proved she can safely drive to Bwater anytime....and maybe daddy will get her a second hand car so we can venture out more!?(Wishfull thinkig).
