Happy Bday Zacariah!! I LOVE YOU BROTHER

Happy Bday dear Zacky brother!!! Reuben was so good and so enthusiastic at celebrating his brother's bday. I have to say Zac was not really aware of what was going on but Reuben had a really good time.
Here my three boys my pride and my joy off course!!! A Zac wondering "what was all that about" and a Reuben who was singing happily the bday song to his belowed brother.
On the day we had my friend Elena and Andrei over and in the afternoon after R came home from nursery we went to the park...it was a sunny but bitter cold day. Reuben was brilliantly looking after his brother...I love this picture...talks so well about their relationship. LOve how they come alive each when they see each other....
A moment of dummy time...pleased to report today is the 5th day Reuben has no dummy....he still asks for it but yes, we now are dummy free. Reuben knows the mice have taken the top of his dummies and now all we have left is yukky dummies that are no good. He was ok when I told him but first evening we went through a lot of questions such as: "mummy mice like cheese...not dummies....where is my dummy? or mice only ate my brown dummies where are my pink and my green dummies?" I tell you what dear readers kids are not silly stupid they so know what they want and can argue just as well as us adults...or shall I say us adults are sometimes so childlish about our arguments?:)))
What a shame this pic is blurry...we were all too excited. Mummy wearing an old top and a scrunchie as had no time to be yummy mummy....
And finally on Saturday a big big bday bash for Zac!! I think the shock of seeing so many of his friends (our friends) got to him as he was sucking his dummy and he only does that when he is upset, concentrating or just amazed at something....!:)) Reuben was amazingly good. We went swimming in the morning as always then Marie Booker (Alfie's mum) has offered to take Reuben to her house so we can all do the preparations for the bday....and they all arrived in time for the party, Reuben loves his friend Alfie whom he has been in nursery since baby room (8-9 months). THey are both different but so good together. Reuben was so good....he is good....love him so much these days. Reuben you are so so amazing...loving being your mummy. XXXXX

My little array of sunshine...

Reuben has been amazing recently...he is such a lovely boy. Has developped a little "I need to see other people's homes" and therefore keeps asking me to take him to various kids houses after nursery. We had visited Alfie recently and that was nice so they also came and saw us...which indeed was so cool...
Reuben and Alfie had been together in nursery since baby room seeing them playing together just so fun. Zac off course joined in but they were so lovely and that also meant a lot to me.
CRafts too have been something T seems to like these days....indeed...painting, sticking, glueing and such....been so good even Zac enjoyed it. However I do find I get so shattered by the eveining all I want to do is just flop back and sleep.
Brotherly love. I am so so thankful to GOd that they keep getting on so well. They share most times and also they love each other which really is like balm to my heart. We had been so busy with Zac that often Reuben was just plodding along although all day I am trying so desperatley to plan things that make both happy..most of the time we succeeed but then we dont always...
BUbbles both my kids just love them....and well it went down very very well...my kitchen was just soap glorious soap.
MOre crafts more swimming, playdates...we had been rather busy....enjoying the early evenings. reuben curling up on his grandpa chair and then reading a story watching Thomas.....then falling asleep. I am loving his cuddles...his speech which is amazing...his singing....not his sleeping at night which happens in my room most often...and I end up on the floor. Me hopes its a phase...but he does say he wants to be in a room with us all. It must make sense as he is on his own in his room and yes the rest of us all together. So spring comes we will make some changes and I hope it will be all good...then again if not will just play along nothing lasts for ever does it? I am thankful for most things....my boys are perfect Reuben is making me PROUD and really is such a wonderful boy. God thanks for these lovely boys.

Update

Swimming away swimming away....its been so good and so special....now we have Charlie as a teacher and Reuben loves Charlie. IN fact today Reuben requested and demanded Charlie who was only too happy to jump in the water with our swim boy!!
He is soooooooo eager and loves the water. Charlie says Reuben is fanastic....I am so pleased these are the lessons he loves....:)
Learning how to blow in the water:)) NOt sure he got it but he was willing to try:)
Everyone has the smiles...:)) Granny Smith and daddy were chatting next R climbed on to chat followed by Zac....so I managed to capture the moment:) Zac does look like daddy just look at the shape of his face....and the grin....:))
Happy Bday to Henry Charles who is our neighbour and very much Zacky's friend. He has been so lovely....and the bday was fantastic!
When the boys are not in nursery or out this is what happens a lot....making music and messing up the living room....this picture is a window into the future not long before my boys play like this together....
Reuben often these last few days has falen asleep on the grandad chair which is in his room. This is a nice rocking chair that we love and has a special special touch to it....I took this photo one evening....after I put Zac down as I turned in to read Reuben a story he was fast asleep....he was so peaceful and happy I had tears in my eyes. My big boy is a lovely lovely boy who is getting amazingly self sufficient and grown up. I love you baby so much.

A long and a very frustrating week. Zac has had conjunctivitis and Reuben has resisted going to nursery ...there was one very late night when daddy was working til 3am and I was sooo tired but then we somehow managed to pick up....and really enjoyed the rest of the week and so did Reuben. We had seen some friends during the week and was a treat for Reuben to have Georgia around on Friday ....his girlfriend as he calls her. With now swimming on Saturdays our days are going very fast.....and tomorrow is Sunday already church then taking granny Smith back home. We had found out we have Romanian-Hungarian neighbours so we are gona try and meet them tomorrow afternoon. Then there is another week....God willing we will be updateing once we get to the computer.

Just fine

Life is just interesting for Reuben now....having failed with teh gymn classes we had taken up swimming which he loves so hopefully one activity that will help him learn an important life skill.
On Sunday we braved Kent Life Museum and as it was freezing we ended up doing some crafts.....:))
We even tried the slide and outside play area but we really did think it was way to cold...hopefully spring will come our way.
Reuben had gotten used to have daddy home and now he does show grea disappointment when daddy does not get home in time but lucky tonight he had daddy home and they even managed to play some. Yap playing architecture that was....we are so blessed with a loving daddy that rushes back home to see us....does not have other hobbies and loves us to bits.
Daddy this is funny the door does not open but the windows do!!!
Reuben is so sweet this week's fab moment was for me the Sunday when we were getting ready to church...downstairs with Reuben I was telling him we are going to church to thank God for everything....he then looked at me and said "mummy we need to thank Donkey too" bless he remebered donkey from the nativity which off course was at church. I love my son....he is my everything. This particular stage when he chatters and makes connections, when he shares his anxieties, joys and dreams is really something I will treasure for life. I love the "mummy lets go have fun" moments the fact that things are so palpable and immediate for him ....everything is in the "here and now" and nothing can wait and the love of life is just amazing....:)) oh thanks Reuben for being so inspiring.
LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH MY BIG BOY

Happy New Year 2011

Hi! We had an interesting year already but Reuben has taken it all in his stride. He is happily back in nursery and enjoying his routine...(we do too). Tonight he said bye bye to daddy in his farm animals pjs and has been a lovely help to mummy as daddy sadly is in hospital.
"Daddy is poorley and we need your help" this is what R had to say to granny in the phone when we rang to tell her the news. Granny won;t be coming down to stay but she will visit but mama from Romania is arriving tomorrow to give us some support while J is healing. When we visited daddy today after his operation Reuben went into the shop and decdied he needed a Drs bag with various tools as he was needing to be a dr....I hope he will become one although I can see him more into something more adventurous and more physical.
His Godfather Matt has also visited us which indeed was lovely. Matt and Reuben seemed to have hit it off once again. He was only able to stay for the day but it had a lasting impression on Reuben especially when R watched his Godfather's wonderful and scary skating.
R seemed to have really taken likeing to crafts and especially sticking and stapleing and off course painting his nails....:)))we made a kind a crown (should have been a Christmas time activity ...) and he wore it very proudly.
Reuben decided to do his own facepainting....with markers....so we covered up like this the terrible art...:))) was supposed to be a bunny rabbit but I am no good at these things so....also a ladybird in making on his hand...
MOre art....with Zac in toe...:) Always amazez me how Zac and Reuben want to do same things. Reuben does not mind most often Zac infact we have recently noticed that Reuben is copying us and trying to chatter to Zac in baby language and such...its cute and so sweet.
So far so good he has been a bright little monkey...enjoying so much his time at home and at nursery. He has been asking to go to Thomas Land...and also to the farm to see animals and he alsohas been telling me more and more in more and more words about his dreams....his life at nursery and his aspirations. I am loving out convesations and lovng to see his interests and how he recognises people. He comes out with amazing and lovely things to say, loves saying Sorry, thank you, please and all used really well and approprietly. HE is eager to make me coffee in the morning (which I love and scuff down in an instant) he also loves meeting u with best friends Georgia, Nicholas, Livy, Zoli and nursery friends. Life is good I shall say for now. I feel blessed and I am loving every minute with my beautiful boy.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Ah, Reuben has opened all his presents after the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve (just like we do in Romania). After that on Christmas Day Father christmas has left a nice stocking on his bed for him to enjoy packed with novelty toys. THe avbove Thomas Wash Bag from Godmother Tina.
Also on Christmas Eve Reuben was enjoying his present from Kelli (our best nanny ever) and he is showing it off proudly.
The Christingle Service was the bestest ever and the church was packed R loved the natvity story. I was pleased we made it with aunty Cheryl (God mother nr 2) in toe...who also dropped round some lovely presents for the boys.
His Christingle is so loveley....won;t bore you but briefly the orange is the world...the red ribbon around it is Jesus blood (a bit cruel so I call it love) and the white candle is Jesus himself the light of the world...the sticks are 4 in the number of the seasons and with sweets on them as appropriate to the seasons.
Reuben and Bea were desperate to try our being Joseph and Mary and off course were loving baby Jesus...:))
After the Christingle Service Santa visited church (Father Christmas more like) and everyone had a present that was nice too.
Granny Spending the holidays with us and Reuben is loving it. We had no facy Dinners as to be honest we are still recovering from terrible colds etc...we just had simple and nice Christmas...and a brilliant family time.
Second day of Christmas we went Ice Skating...:)) Was very very strange...thought R might love it but he said after a few minutes: I don;t like Skating its too slippery...:)) bless so we did our best with me pushing him and pingu around and then gave up.
Not leaving Pingu for no matter no life...:))it was rather funny he thought that was how it was meant to be done...:))
Watch how much he did concentrate:)))
So far its been illness, feeling shattered and exhausted so we had a few activties but generally R loves sleeping mid day (he probably needs it so we are happy) and then we get some fun in the afternoon. Yesterday was a ccomplete quite and fun day at home. Today we had Elena and family over with gifts then a bite to eat then boys slept we then went ice Skating....then had huge fun at home pillowfighting and throwing soft toys at each other....and finally bath and sleep time...even some playtime in R;s room. I think he is loving the bonding time...we had never spent time so lazy and kind a laid back as now...I am seeing him getting very interested in just chilling and watching Tv and playing with toys and just being with us. If I did not have to do any cleaning and ironing wahsing, cooking I would be so pleased I could do what he wants to do...but instead I find myself busy in the kitchen and around the house. Well, we had been very good with trying to make do with what we have. I will certainly enjoy next year a much deserved chill out I think I will preorder food and enjoy family time...will be plenty tme years later when they can entertain themself to be cooking and doing thinsg...and food is only secondary to the food of the soul. I am most happy that I managed to get to church with my children twice for Christmas!! After all the reason for the season should not be forgotten.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE> I am pleased Reuben wanted a SMALL PRESENT and he did get a few compared to many friends we know but he is so happy and content and so are we.

officially holiday....

Yes! Its officially holiday and my little monkey has managed so far two play dates and loads of fun at home. Still he misses nursery as today he asked me when can he return....:)) Here a visit from NIcholas on Saturday just before R got very ill....cold or something like that. Reuben has gotten some of his Presents Early as mummy figured that its better if he plays with them throughout the holiday.
Visited girlfriend Honor and Pearl (her sister) and had so much fun on the ride on train and in the box....:)))
Then too much play has brought on some viral stuff not sure what it is but it is really hard to get rid of it. For the first time Zac was happy he had someone to visit and grin to....only R was too tired and lethargic to take much notice of him..
Seems to have taken up a bit of painting and he seems to like darker colours at the moment...:)) not sure why but we are keeping an eye on that...perhaps they are more striking?
Daddy and Reuben enjoying a moment together of creativity....:)) thanks daddy.
By the way its nice to hear Reuben not only know his full name but mine, daddy's and off course our occupations...:)) I being mummy. Daddy being an ARCHITECT building towers and houses for people...:))
Can;t quite believe I made it to Debenhams today ....I felt so unwell...really unwell. I have got what he had and I took boys to Chatham for a treat but after seeing Santa both decided it was time for a nap...only remained me to wish I was in bed with them tooo:) All in all not a good week but we had the amazing help of our babysitter and friend Kelli who even though has an ear infection has done over and above duty and given us nap time, love time and all that. Also I must off course mention my wonderful husband who has so amazingly put up with my winging....my tiredness and not only lavishes me with his love and care (allowing me to sleep through the night and til 7-8am) but has been just the best dad ever....taking care of his family....THANK YOU DADDY you are so much appreciated and loved....
I guess the next entry will be Christmas day or so....HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
