full day

We had such a busy busy day today! It was the market day and we had a visit from aunty Irenke and unce Jani from HUngary then Maria and R and granny went shopping...and when we got back grandad has prepared a gypsy type BBQ....so we had pork scratchings and warm pork fat with radish and spring onions and different drinks. the beauty in this type og BBQ is that you eat it as you make it....its so nice its unbelievable. I was thinking how interesting and primitive food yet so nice....! YUMMMY.
THen we had coffee with Joseph and Irenke (uncle JOJO for R) and me (Maria) did some cleaning. We then got ready to go to uncle Jani and aunty Teri via Causin Aranka...so we got home late evening when mummy Maria made a yummy pasta with white sauce and mushrooms fir the entire family and Ligia the neighbour. We then bathed and watched a baby einstein and fell asleep.....!just as well.

Hello

Just a few pictures froma happy day spent in the garden and the yard around the house. Reuben is enjoying so much the fresh air and all the excitment in and around the town. Toda we enjoyed the various flowers and plants around teh house and went for a few walks. First we had some tests done one for me and a more complicated one for Reuben. I am amazed how cheap and fast the test are being done here and just how lovely people are....everyone so helpful....even the family doctor comes to the house and sits and chats an gives that so well needed care and support...this is when I feel like moving back here. We then went to aunty Ibi and celebrated her bday with yummy food and loads of laughs. Then we had a nap and we played in the garden....walked to the second hand market with Rebeka and granny and then had a bath, a feed and R has been sleeping since. Mummy went to the neighbours who have a huge shop and "bought" some Hipp baby food. Ligia the shop owner and mummy;s friend was so lovely she did not let us pay instead she gave us two bagfulls of food, pampers, gerkins for me...(Maria) pickled papers, and a fresh pizza baked in their restaurant. This is so special....she is such a nice girl and so generous.

NOw mummy (Maria) is ready to collapse and sleep so nite nite for now...more tomorrow!

Granny's house......

Hello

Here some pictures of Reuben enjoying himself loads with all the causins....out in the fresh air and all that....DOG REMAINS THE BIGGEST ATTRACTION AND LOVE OF ROMANIA.
Reuben has a great tan and enjoys the fresh air. He sleeps much better and its just so amazing to see him develop...we are struggleing still with food...he seems to want all the grown ups food....so he is a challange when I want to give him baby food. What shall I say? the pictures will talk for themsleves. I was told I have a Spine Hernia and I should not carry weights and lift things....(yeah great news but who can do that with a 8 months todler). At night I can barely get up and when I feed him I often cry with pain....(back pain). I guess I will need to see an osetopath and perhaps do continue my swimming. Mum bless has got something worse in her hip and kneecaps...so sometimes she can;t even walk....which is worrying....it seems this is my family;s problem backs and pains....

Hello

Today loads of rain but we managed to skip church and sleep and enjoy visiting Misi (my brother) and his family.Here some pics from where we went for a walk and around Misi's house. the first picture shows Reuben in his best and favourite pose...under the IKEA type chair between the wires. He just loves the dangerous places. Ah, today he slept on my big bed and to make things easy and help him sleep I have made the room dark. Off course he woke without me noticing ( I was reading outside the room) and he fell off the bed....when I came in to look for him as he was crying I noticed he wasn;t on the bed...yes he was underneeth to the side....he screamed but soon everything was ok. Ah, well I am sure things will keep on happening....he is just an adventurous boy....hope he learnt not to explore in the dark?! then again I won;t leave him on his own from now on.

We had some fun now we are getting ready for bathing and then for sleep time.

WEDDING DAY

Hello

Here for a Day that we thought would never come!:)) Its been interesting witnessing the wedding of my ex still its been such a lovely ocasion. A beautiful bride and such a lovely girl....and what a special day for two very special people. I was so pleased to see Armand hitched....! Dr Toth has finally done it HE HAS GONE MARRIED....and I ACTUALLY HEARD HIM SAY THOSE MAGIC WORDS....
Phew....thats over done with. It was a very special occasion...my best friend (groom;s sister) sung such a beautiful song together with the younger sister too. It felt like we are all a big happy family. I missed my handsome prince Jonathan who also would have loved this day. Unfortunatley it was decided that Reuben should stay home as he would have found it too restricting in the church and with him not being the centre of attention....poor boy! He had a fabulous time with causins and grandparents....they all were knackered when I came home....all I did was to bath him and put him to bed....!

LONG LIFE HAPPY COUPLE....! Certinaly I felt the excitment of my own wedding as I watched these two tie the knot!

Hello

We are still enjoying Romania! Reuben seems to be loving it here. The weather has turned colder and I guess we have less activities to do out in the garden but we still manage to have a good time in the walker, a stroll through the town and a good old swing time in the garden....with a spacial visit to PERBITA the dog.
Reuben wakes happy and we spend that first few good minutes cuddleing and getting excited to see each other, Then we go sat goodmorning to grandma and grandad and whoever is happening to be tehre too and then watch some baby einstein while mummy gets dressed etc then R gets his breakfast and gets cleaned up and dressed. He hates the dressing time....typical boy.We discovered here some hipp food that he seems to like and started to drink fruit juices. He has two three feeds a night depending on how well he manages to sleep. We had one night with one feed it was a miracle.

Still R is special with a routine of his own. I am glad he seems to be doing well generally and the little hick ups will slowly disolve I am sure. ONly another week here then we are off to Slovakia for a week and back home after that....time has flown so quickly.

More Macdonalds

Hello

Another day on Oradea! Mum, aunty Ibi, Dad, JOseph had to go to a funeral (Mum's best friend) so me, Reuben and Rebekah decided to have some time away from home too and since the funeral would have been too morbid for Reuben we decided to take him to MAcdonalds again and also to visit his causin Eszter. It was fun...(see pictures) there is something about this place its so happy with all the balls he just crawls and plays with them...he got so tired in 30 mins he was ready for another nap. We also visited Eszterke and she was asleep so we had some food then when she woke R fell asleep. It was discussed we must meet next time and will take some pics then.
Reuben was bought some HIPP FOOD and some juices, some cradle cap cream (as he started to have a little cradle cap) and a new duck bottle which he just loved in the shop so we couldn't resist it.

We got home about 7 then we ate some turkey and some veg, then drunk some tea played some, bathed and went to bed. It took about 15 mins to fall asleep. He woke once already (he is asleep for 1 hour)it must be his teeth as he was crying but eyes closed.
