Nearly Christmas....visting Lincoln

Hello

We have been visting Lincoln this weekend. We wanted to say Happy Christmas in person to Granny and Grandpa and we had such a nice time....! R was an angel on the way there and he was lovely while there too except at night! We were in a new place and I guess he must have felt it?! Next night was not much better either although he wasn;t as loud as before. We are back home now and he was so excited to see his own surroundings. Was interesting seeing his reaction when he entered his room and his face just lit up ....at the sight of the lights and birdy mobile above his bed! He even played there for a while. He is now sound asleep so mummy grabs this opportunity to post some pics! Talk more soon!

Reuben is 5 months old today!

Hello Reuben is 5 months old today! Here are some pictures from our busy weekend! We are looking forward to Christmas. R has learnt about baby Jesus at the weekend as we visited Canterbury and enjoyed a nice walk in the cold then some fun drinking a well deserved warm milk in Waterstone while mummy, daddy and Annamaria had coffee.
Reuben also joined the Virgin Active sports club and soon is to try out the swimming pool. We are looking forward to Cameron coming back so we can have someone else to play with there too! So far the Smith;s are trying to live a better and more active life......but lets see can we?

I think Reuben's new year resolution will be to keep mummy fit and yummy!

Reuben reading Nursery Rhymes 5 months

Hello!

Yes, R has been busying himself with reading Nursery Rhymes and singing "All I want for Christmas is my teeeeeeeeethhhhhhh" Its so painful to watch (and how painful it must feel) him teeth! He sucks on everything, but mainly bites....he eats like a horsy but I guess its because it stops the pain for a little while. He has his third set of jabs and we had fever and loads of tummy upsets and a night of crying and we are both (mummy and daddy) looking forward to the weekend to try and sleep some.Poor R has been so good such a little hero! We love his interest in life. This week we assessed him and he did so well, we have found out that he is a social kid...he does not like toys but company....he likes people...finds them facinating. he is the most entertained when people are around...he watches people and looks out for their facial expressions....loves when people chat to him, smile and say, better and funny these two words are at this time the funniest....ITS GREAT WATCHING HIM LAUGH OUTLOUD....looking like he understands what life is all about. Mummy chats to him non stop and he just laughs when he feels like it....but then again who wouldn't .....

Christmas Photos Reuben Michael Smith

These pictures were taken by my professional photographer friend! We have now a Christmas Three and Reuben has really enjoyed the stocking that he borrowed that from Cameron! I guess we are a bit ahead of oursleves but wanted to share some of our excitment over the comming celebrations! + this week Reuben will be 5 months old!

Cammy and Reuby Friday Dec 7th 2007

Hello there

We are saying bye bye to Natalie and Cameron our friends...they are off to CANADA to see their family and won;t be back for a month! Wow, that means they might not recognise each other?! Well we decided to help that by taking some pics of the boys and the mummies in case they change toooo:))))
We had so much fun although as you will see in some pics the boys were a bit unsure how they are to behave....excited,grumpy (for Santa not showing) or just fed up with all this attention!

Reuben has been surprising mummy and daddy recently with some interesting patterns of sleeping....well he slept 2 nights this week a good 10pm-4am and then feed back til 6-7am and also one day he nearly had no sleep....continues to be upredictable...no show of theething but interestingly very dribbly and everything goes in the mouth and through the spaghetti fingers....

Reuben enjoying ?! life

Hello

Reuben had a week that was up and down...he seems to struggle with sleep and feeds so mummy is rather upset! Reuben takes most milk during the nights while he is still dozy enough to be fooled but mummy is wondering if he just does not like milk. He has 6-7 liquid ounces of milk at night and during the day just 3-4 sometimes not even that! SO although he is now on the line he actually is not progressing as well as some other friends of his:)) still he is growing like a mushroom and he is prooving to be a pretty tall boy. He is enjoying being weaned but I am not sure its as fun as it was when we started....he now makes funny faces....and gets bored easily. Sleep! Proves to be one of the most difficult things....we are still up and down all night long...with the most 4 hours of sleep at once but with noises and silent cries....I just wish I would know what is causing him distress because its lovely to see him get up sometimes chatty and happy and other times he is just screaming and screaming and screaming.

Here some pictures of Reuben's week! Some with mummy and daddy where else but Bluewater! and some today Saturday with my mates.....ahhhh weeeeeellll not sure but someone decided to cry and so I thought was a good idea to follow.

20 weeks Reuben

Here is our little Einstein....daddy was playing with him and these were the pictures that we thought were funny enough and showing just how einsteiny is our little angel. Reuben has been teething badly bless him. He is consuming bonjela like there is no tomorrow....fretful and frustrated as he is eating his fingers, ours and all the other possible teething toys.He is now eating solids 2ce a day and seems to be happy but also he is just growing and growing. He is so tall we have to put him into his 6-9 months cloths as some of the 3-6 are so short! He is now only going into week 20 but he is just so tall! He is chattering loads and today we walked around Rochester (him in the slig) and people were turning heads looking at him chatting....all he needs is a friendly face or someone to start him off and then he just never stops or it feels like it. Unfortunatley we does not seel much but he certailny does like to be netertained. His baby sitter Annamaria loves him and he loves her. They chatter and play and sing together and its nice to hear and see them.
I am getting ready for studying and my practice ....so this is it for today!
