HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Ah, Reuben has opened all his presents after the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve (just like we do in Romania). After that on Christmas Day Father christmas has left a nice stocking on his bed for him to enjoy packed with novelty toys. THe avbove Thomas Wash Bag from Godmother Tina.
Also on Christmas Eve Reuben was enjoying his present from Kelli (our best nanny ever) and he is showing it off proudly.
The Christingle Service was the bestest ever and the church was packed R loved the natvity story. I was pleased we made it with aunty Cheryl (God mother nr 2) in toe...who also dropped round some lovely presents for the boys.
His Christingle is so loveley....won;t bore you but briefly the orange is the world...the red ribbon around it is Jesus blood (a bit cruel so I call it love) and the white candle is Jesus himself the light of the world...the sticks are 4 in the number of the seasons and with sweets on them as appropriate to the seasons.
Reuben and Bea were desperate to try our being Joseph and Mary and off course were loving baby Jesus...:))
After the Christingle Service Santa visited church (Father Christmas more like) and everyone had a present that was nice too.
Granny Spending the holidays with us and Reuben is loving it. We had no facy Dinners as to be honest we are still recovering from terrible colds etc...we just had simple and nice Christmas...and a brilliant family time.
Second day of Christmas we went Ice Skating...:)) Was very very strange...thought R might love it but he said after a few minutes: I don;t like Skating its too slippery...:)) bless so we did our best with me pushing him and pingu around and then gave up.
Not leaving Pingu for no matter no life...:))it was rather funny he thought that was how it was meant to be done...:))
Watch how much he did concentrate:)))
So far its been illness, feeling shattered and exhausted so we had a few activties but generally R loves sleeping mid day (he probably needs it so we are happy) and then we get some fun in the afternoon. Yesterday was a ccomplete quite and fun day at home. Today we had Elena and family over with gifts then a bite to eat then boys slept we then went ice Skating....then had huge fun at home pillowfighting and throwing soft toys at each other....and finally bath and sleep time...even some playtime in R;s room. I think he is loving the bonding time...we had never spent time so lazy and kind a laid back as now...I am seeing him getting very interested in just chilling and watching Tv and playing with toys and just being with us. If I did not have to do any cleaning and ironing wahsing, cooking I would be so pleased I could do what he wants to do...but instead I find myself busy in the kitchen and around the house. Well, we had been very good with trying to make do with what we have. I will certainly enjoy next year a much deserved chill out I think I will preorder food and enjoy family time...will be plenty tme years later when they can entertain themself to be cooking and doing thinsg...and food is only secondary to the food of the soul. I am most happy that I managed to get to church with my children twice for Christmas!! After all the reason for the season should not be forgotten.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE> I am pleased Reuben wanted a SMALL PRESENT and he did get a few compared to many friends we know but he is so happy and content and so are we.

officially holiday....

Yes! Its officially holiday and my little monkey has managed so far two play dates and loads of fun at home. Still he misses nursery as today he asked me when can he return....:)) Here a visit from NIcholas on Saturday just before R got very ill....cold or something like that. Reuben has gotten some of his Presents Early as mummy figured that its better if he plays with them throughout the holiday.
Visited girlfriend Honor and Pearl (her sister) and had so much fun on the ride on train and in the box....:)))
Then too much play has brought on some viral stuff not sure what it is but it is really hard to get rid of it. For the first time Zac was happy he had someone to visit and grin to....only R was too tired and lethargic to take much notice of him..
Seems to have taken up a bit of painting and he seems to like darker colours at the moment...:)) not sure why but we are keeping an eye on that...perhaps they are more striking?
Daddy and Reuben enjoying a moment together of creativity....:)) thanks daddy.
By the way its nice to hear Reuben not only know his full name but mine, daddy's and off course our occupations...:)) I being mummy. Daddy being an ARCHITECT building towers and houses for people...:))
Can;t quite believe I made it to Debenhams today ....I felt so unwell...really unwell. I have got what he had and I took boys to Chatham for a treat but after seeing Santa both decided it was time for a nap...only remained me to wish I was in bed with them tooo:) All in all not a good week but we had the amazing help of our babysitter and friend Kelli who even though has an ear infection has done over and above duty and given us nap time, love time and all that. Also I must off course mention my wonderful husband who has so amazingly put up with my winging....my tiredness and not only lavishes me with his love and care (allowing me to sleep through the night and til 7-8am) but has been just the best dad ever....taking care of his family....THANK YOU DADDY you are so much appreciated and loved....
I guess the next entry will be Christmas day or so....HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Birthdayed out and Advented....

Hello there! We had been rather busy enjoying Adent trying to spend quality time with each other and friends and just relax...sometimes it works better than other times.
A moment of bliss R showing off his first Christmas gift from Mummy and Daddy it still remains a favourite for all kids that come to us and Reuben off course.
Last weekend was the Dickensian Christmas Festial...which normally we do not want to attend...but this year was really rather nice especially up at the castle grounds with the Christmas Market open all week...and we managed to squize in some meetings with some of the winter characters.
He loved meeting Pingu too!:))) a bit feared him which was very unlike him.
Reuben has amazing gymnastic abilities and we are currently trying to find somewhere for him to go and learn gymnastics. This weekend a very special girl in Reuben's life (nursery best friend) has celebrated her Birthday. Grace Peet. Reuben was really really excited as it was held in a gym and so it was double the joy. he came home grinning and telling me it was the best party with all his nursery friends.
Enjoying a good look at Gracey;s cake...Pepa Pig...bless she is such a girl I love her.
Birthday girl Georgia P!! Our neighbour and Reuben's favourite girl. Here in the picture the blond fairy and next to her another special girl Livy (LIBY as R calls her) what a weekend of bliss for Reuben
Yap he got to wear his hat Bday Hat! Couldnt believe it...must have been that daddy was there with him.
Icecream time:) Wow....he loved that the frowned look is something he seems to be very good at...not sure why but seems he was intrigued by something...this is my beautiful boy my pride and my joy...thank you God for such a beautiful gift.

Let it snow let it snow.....let it snow!!

Reuben has a total of 5 fish!! 4 goldfish likes and black fish that is called monkey and he is there to clean the clean tank:)))
Reuben has spent rather a lot of time entertaining his brother and teaching him how to use his old toys....:)) they have such a good time together....I am so thankful for my two lovely boys...they always surprise me with their love and laughters. Horsey horsey don;t you stop....in this case Reuben was happy to be a horsey! They have been enjoying this rocking horse way too much.
Mummy look snow? And he was willing to hand me his dummy too...love loved him this morning he was so excited....it helped that as he left for nursery the snow just kept on falling.....he said it must be Christmas mummy....:)) better dig out that christmas tree!!
He enjoyed putting on his boots too....he was wondering if he is gona be able to walk in the snow and he did....!! Mainly spend our days with fixed routines...in the morning Reuben joins daddy and Zac downstairs while I get a lie in...then I get dressed come down and dress the boys (while J showers) then Zac gets his breakfast and I get R's nursery bag done. Then Zack goes for a sleep and Reuben goes off to nursery. While he is at nursery and Zac asleep I get my house sorted into a acceptable way....then time for snacks and play time (for a walk on the highstreet or seeing friends) then home for sleep nr 2 then hope that Zac is up in time to go get Reuben...or else I am stuck...have to ask kindly my neighbour or Kelli to come in to rescue. After nursery ...telly time while I cook the early dinner 4-5ish and then some play time (Zac feeding time) and time for bath and sleep ...and finally we all get ready to collapse when daddy arrives and is ready to have dinner and collapse as well. As you can see we have workes out kind of a routine...although its rather scary. I am enjoying time with my sons....and sharing the excitment of Advent with some special friends and looking forward to enjoy Christmas in less than three weeks....not very well organised but some presents have already left and some more today and some cards...not bad for November....! So for now let it snow as I plan to get the boys out in the garden to help me clear up later....MX

bye bye Mama

Oh what a hard thing to do saying bye bye to mama!! She has been with us for three weeks and as we were at her house before we had 5 weeks together and it was bliss!!!will misss mama so much
At the airport they are already getting ready for Christmas its unbelievable....:)) is it really that close...someone is happy for it to be just around the corner in fact "mummy lets go buy a Christmas Tree" oh well we will wait for the right day I think but how confusing for kids to see it in places but not at home.
hello! this was fun! He was a Mr Tumble Look alike...but called something esle...which escapes me. He was kind a funny....Reuben thought he was outrageously funny.

HEre all the children at the Bday party were so good played, ate food and were happy to be enetrtained. Reuben's first ever 6th year old party!!
Playing pass the parcel was a funny one but he managed to pass it on eventually.
Heather;s party was party nr 2!! can';t believe we got there for the end and Reuben went into a completley diff party and asked for his face to be painted. Little cheeky monkey arrived in front of me like this I nearly had a shock

Reuben's world

Hello!! Reuben has started taking a real interest in family games and competing....he is such a character and a lovely lovely boy. Here we have after a load of pleas from him got him HUNGRY HIPPOS game which he loves and played all Sunday afternoon with daddy and Miss G.
Being in nursery only from 9-3pm is working brilliantly I suppose its the fact that he can enjoy home as well before the night time routine...and how very nice that the boys can spend some quality time together....MAMA has really spent fantastic time with Reuben and Zac. Although Reuben decided to call Mama, Tata (which is the grandpa in hungarian) we think its cute....
We took Zac to the doctor with Reuben and to involve Reuben I asked him to tell the doctor what is wrong with Zac. Reuben: "Zacky poorley, he fell off the bed...bumped his head and is now poorley" with the saddest and most cmpassionate eyes. Then as dr was checking Zac out he sat by me and was holding Zac meanwhile saying "its ok Zacky"....need I say anymore?? (Ups only that R;s jabs are on Thursday after nursery soooo lets hope it goes as smoothly as today).
Best buy ever from charity this gianormous Thomas the tank thing...with loads of track and some trains....we call it BLUE TRACK THOMAS as we also have the wooden ones....every morning comes out while we get ready for the day....
I have to mention here R's spech is coming along amazingly and he is growing up so fast. He has taken it on himself to be the big brother and is very happy to report (by this I mean running commentary) of what Zac is or not doing at one given time. He is also quite funny when manages to ignore Zac just fine then again I won;t hold that against him as really he is a kid tooo....
Reuben's latest is animals....he asked so far for Christmas for a DOG (not any dog but Perdi dog from Romania), a cat and fish...!!! As he was saying all this I was very tired so ignored the wish list then he said..."mummy, no cat...cat eat fish (he mumbled something about naughty Garfield?)...then he said I like Perdi Dog Christmas....:)) So thats a shortlist then for me...! Better get Perdi dog a Passport.
the other sweet thing is when he takes liking to something he often says "mum I like...." its sweet and funny...as sometimes its completly out of context. Watching TV today saw some kids at the sea and said "mum...I LIKE THE SEA, lets go to sea."as it was so natural to command the weather to get all summery for us...lets goooo....ups a problem might be there has to be Christmas before summer comes again or we neeeeed more money much more money than we have!:)))

FIRE FIRE BONFIRE!

Hi! Last night we were invited to two bonfire parties and we attended one! Really enjoyed seeing our friends although Zac was under the weather so we had to take him home then R was getting tired by 9pm so cut short a very good meeting with friends. Still R loved his sparklers and enjoyed the rockets and the great fireworks.
In one day this week we made two trips to Bwater...don;t ask...! Reuben wanted to go there by bus but after waiting in the cold for half hour we had to get back and pick up car and go by car. It was ok...but couldn;t believe how Christmasy it all feels....we are looking forward to Christmas but feel as though by then we might get enough of the anticipation! Reuben loves MAMA (whom he calls TATA for some reason) and is adement anywhere we go have to take, Daddy, Mummy, Zacky and TATA with us:)
the boys love sitting on the sofa and spending time together:)) it makes me smile as they seem to always be pottering then you see them hugging ...have not cought that on camera as only seems to last a second but they are loving each other and I am so pleased...!
Reuben seems to be very hooked on TV but Zac has not yet showed any interest...he seems to be more into interaction...live!:) Reuben is very very good boy these days...we are so pleased with him. His speech is coming along really really well and can spend time playing on his own and enjoying his trains and cars and room and such. He has a few really good friends and seem to be very happy to go to NIcholas's house which is amazing....and is happy to spend time there. So far two Saturdays he has spent time there which allowed us time to do things in the house. HE always comes back saying he wants to go again and again...I think he is learning a lot of good there I think Reuben is developing really well and unless he is hyped up he is the bestest kid ever! I particularly like when he cuddles up to me and says: I LOVE YOU MUMMY!

Loads of eventful days....

Everyone was way to excited today...a lovely family visit with both grandma's and counsins and uncle and aunt ...mum and dad what more?! It really was nice to see relatives and spend some quality time together. Thank you Helen and co for visiting and stopping by...and thanks kids for entertaining R and Zac.
Today Saturday we had visitors from Lincoln (cousins Peter and Ana and aunt Helen and uncle Andrew) a day of bliss and excitment for Reuben....who was so hyped up it was a task to tuck him into bed.
The boys were so excited to be home they had not gone to bed til 12 midnight...(well that was Reuben). Its nice to go away sometimes to come back and have full entertainment with the toys that boys have been parted from. THey certainly had a lot of fun since coming back together in the morning before and after nursery time.
A big hug to uncle Jojo after a long long 5 hours drive.
Uncle Jojo has been so good and took us to Hungary to the airport...5 hours trip. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
We had left Romania on the 27th! What a beautiful day to come back sunshine and lovely lovely kids to travel with. After about 4 hours in the car the boys got fidgity but who wouldn't?! The boys were fanastic and I am so very thankful. Mama also has been so very very good....helpful indeed.
