A day of all sorts!

Happy Bday Jasmin! Today we had a busy busy day! We had a lazy morning then went to Leeds Castle where we met Jonathan's collegue Michelle, her hubby Paul and gorgeous Fintan who was 1year old on the 28th May! We were supposed to watch some others doing the GO APE but unfortunatley it was impossible as with the kids it would have been hard going through the woods so hope we can see the photos sometime. THen we rushed back to see Jasmin blowing out her BIG 1year CANDLE but unfortunatley R was asleep (fresh air at Leeds must have done it) so we left him with Annamaria in the car while we took Reuben;s present to Jasmin and watched her enjoy her first big bday. We then came home and Reuben had his snack in the garden....then off to the highstreet to see the 4:30pm Dickenisan parade ....which he loved and walked up to the castle grounds to have some fun! We got home exhasuted and R had two loads of chicken liver with yummy bread and some desert....then he played with his farm truck in the garden. He had his bath and went to bed pretty quick....
We are knackered too but here are loads of brilliant pics of today! Unfortunatley no pics from Jas's bday as we forgot the camera but hope to get some later!

Another day at nursery!

Hello

We had a pretty hectic week! ONe more written assignment for mummy and some paperwork and hopefully soon she will be done and dusted with college. We have spent some lovely time despite the weather with Reuben and Annamaria. Reuben had become very very clingy and I feared he would not want to go back to nusrery but by this morning he decided to be all happy....in fact he woke with a load of BAAAA BAAAA BAAA BABABABABA and such noises. HE was very busy repeating these all day to just anyone who was willing to listen. With the sounds came the cheeky "aren;t I cute" smile and the clapping of hands at very innapropriate times....but hey. Mum spent loads of time on phone....so she was wondering if Reuben was making fun of her by saying bla bla bla bla bla! Last night we had a Virgin Vie Homeware party which went well but mummy only got in bed by 12am so she is knackered ....
Reuben enjoyed nursery today, He went in quite happily climbed up the tree house and looked down like a "kind of the forest" on the others and watched with great interest how everyone enertained themsleves and then.....mummy left and he ate, played, slept and all the rest. Mummy was frantically cleaning at home....cause she wasn;t able to concentrate on college work. She also phoned to check that R was ok and she heard he was....so at 5pm she picked a very happy bubble up from NURSERY!

Here some photos we took.

Reuben has had a tireing day no wonder with this awful weather. He woke nice and early and spent some quality time with daddy watching baby einstein and eating and watching some more Tv while playing in the living room. He also visited grany and grandad in Sittingbourne and helped granny choose the right net curtains for her new home. He had three long naps today and 2 baths due to his not so nicely smelling packadges for us....

Anyway, today he walked on his own a few steps a few times (WOWOOWOWOWOW) and also he has climbed up his UPSEY DASY _IGGLE PIGGLE chair on his own and came down on his own two. He descovered it was fun watching the TV from an angle from his well positioned chair.

We finihed this yuk BANK HOLIDAY with yummy chinese food.

Here some pics!

LIttle trouper Tooth nr 6th on the way

Hello there

Reuben has managed an amazing 5 and half hours at the nursery...(yes there is nothing like breaking in gently:))...hurray! He also slept quite well perhaps due to the fact that he has cried himself to sleep at the nursery and had warm milk and cuddles for comfort but no mummy...(silly mummy). He was ok but 100% clingy all evening and through the day today. Perhaps he is saying....no never again mummy don;t leave me....!
Anyway, today we wanted to venture out to Godstone farm which we heard loads of good things about but....unfortunatley we couldn;t because mummy woke with a terrible migrane, then was sick....and so she was perrty much laying down until 2ish. THen it was to late to go anywhere so instead we went to Grove Park just outside Sittingbourne (after we got confused and weren't sure why the Gore Country Park was so unpopulated and badly signeged) umnfortunatley there was such a horrible wind that we ended up freezing so we popped in to see Grandma and Grandpa Smith in Sittingbourne just in time for dinner which was yummy eggs and cheese not on a toast but with bread! yUMMMMM!

Here some photos!

Mama bye bye we miss you

Our dearest mama is gone now! We looked as she checked in and left us behind. ITs been fantastic to have her here. She has been such a nice support for a very tired mummy and during mummy;s illness too. This morning we all went to visit Kloisters kindergarden and were excited to see Reuben going in and not wanting to leave. He did not even look omce at us just went straight in to all the toys and was trying to make friends! I guess I know where he;s got that from...and its not daddy. We pulled him away about 30mins later and found ourselves siging him in...he will go there one afternoon a week for starters...and we are hoping he will be ok. We loved the lady who runs the babies room so kind and nice and Reuben took to her immediatly. As we were talking to Reuben in HUngarian one of the ladies working with the babies starte talking back to us in Hungarian so we were extatic and took it as a sign we must stay with this place....OH DEAR...what have we done? Anyway both mummy and daddy think after much research that it is better for him to start things now...rather than being constantly with mummy and home then when 3 screaming fits etc....after all we now know what its like to have a kind a peaceful night and promised we will never ever be so silly again to distrupt everything ....anyway....

Its also Reuben's 5th night of the controlled crying and tonight it was difficult. IT must be because we are all knackered but also because R had a packed day with loads of emotions running high. Reuben also met today some of daddy;s work collegues and mummy;s at Greenwich Uni. We forgot to take pics but you;ll just have to believe us. R had a good play when we got home eventually at 7pm from 9am long long day...., and then we had milk and mummy;s singing and just as he was nearly falling asleep he was put in his cot. Immediatley he jumped up and screamed for a good 2o mins with mummy visiting 2 times and third time stroke his back and he fell asleep. Poor Boy poor Mummy, poor Daddy and TEDDY who was all wet from all those dear TEARS.

Well, after such a busy day mummy managed to sort out the house for visitor nr....(lost count) Annamaria who is arriving tomorrow if mummy can find the airport and pick her up:)))

third night of controlled crying

Hello

R has done remarkably well! This is the third night we have tried this controlled sleeping crying and he has only cried for 10 mins. He was very tired but when he fell asleep he was such a cuty I found it hard not to pick him up and cuddle him. He was in the corner of the cot and cuddleing his teddy....(did I feel like an awful mum ....yes). Anyway, he was a sweety today. We went to church and he was singing, and standing on his own for quite long periods and off course interjecting his HALELUJAs and PRAISE THE LORD in baby language....to the delight of the people there and the vicar Gary. We then came home had a gorgeous lunch and he had a good long nap. Then we walked up to Noeleen with aunty Cheryl and mama. It was fun at Noeleens cause she has a beautiful house and a fantastic garden with loads of things R can grab and explore textures. We then went to see Jim (our friend in hospital) and was delighted to see him so well...

Here some pictures. First one was taken with mama in Bwater on Friday eve.

Hello

We had a pretty hectic week! Loads crammed in with Maria spending the day in college while Reuben was taken to Sittingbourne to visit Grandparents and the Harrison;s (Jonathan;s sister;s family). Reuben had a brilliant week very busy in deed. Monday he was spending quality time with granny. Tuesday we went to Monkey Bizz, Wednesday we met again with Natalie and spent time with neighbours Moira and her little baby Sohpie and later with Annie and her daughter Georgia.Thursday mummy had to go to work but spent the morning with R playing and watching TV then went to work. Friday we had visitors all the way from Devon, Sarah and her materialised bump called Ollie whom we saw for the first time. Next week we are saying goodbye to granny mama and saying hello to Annamaria (mummy's causin) yes, no rest in this house we just like company....actually a cheaper way to have a one to one care:)) as some would say no doubt. Still its a nice time to catch up with family and to spend quality time together.

This week mummy felt terribly guilty for having spent a lot of time this year with college and things that are linked to that. She has 11 weeks until hopefully she finishes it and it feels like the preassure is on.
For R this week has been extra hard as he has been told by mummy he has to learn to go to sleep on his own so we are doing the controlled sleeping before bedtime....and so far we are on evening nr 2 with 25 mins screams after last night's 40 mins.....
So he has been through some stress but lets hope its for his and everyone;s good.....while mummy screams herself in disbelief that she actually managed two nights and did not give in.....

Anyway, here some pics of Reuben with the daddy;s family and some of when we visisted with Ioana.(Mummy just found these on the camera).
