What a wonderful day!

We had a horrible night last night Reuben only settled when eating and I was so tired....each time I managed to fall asleep he woke me screaming! Poor boy he must have ben in pain! This morning he woke crying again at 7am when it took a good 20 mins to get him into an ok mood. HE then went in the kitchen with Mum and Dad and I went back to bed....! The next thing I knew was that it was 9am and he was snoring in the garden outside my bedroom window. He then woke happy and remained happy til this evening. HE was pretty much out all day today the garden is facinating he is loving the grass and the dog! Each time I sit with him in the grass and play the dog wants to join and barks so R crawls really fast towards him...he (the dog) then sits down completly and lets Reuben abuse him....(stroke him) then he thanks Reuben for this special massage and liks his face and hands. today with horror I noticed how R;s hands were down the dog;s throat....I was patryfied....but the dog didn;t seem to mind. R was screaming with excitment....and then again when washing of hands Reuben was way to excited.....he really had such a good day! He fell asleep really tired....! So I am gona take this time to rush to bed so I can sleep while he sleeps!

Here are some amazing pics! Ah, granny loves her little daffs and tulpis and the garden. THe picture where they are in a small garen of flowers is taken in front of our bedroom. the rest in the big garden where the dog is too.

Another sunny happy day!

Hello

R has had a good night last night only woke once to eat but I guess its also due to the Calpol Night as he was teething so badly, spent the day outside mainly so I thought give him some to get him sleep better....and so he did. He was very wingy today he really must have been in pain as he was chewing on bread and anything taht got in his mouth. He has also poooooooed loads (I am sure you all wanted to know this). Anyway, beside all these important facts Reuben enjoyed the swing in the garden the walker and his causins and friends....He loves the birds in the garden and wants to chase them as they are often in the grass singing away. We try and imitate bird noises and his face brightens up so much. Loves Perbita the dog and when in the grass (which R loves to touch) we often see him crawl straight to the dog and the dog plays with him...off course we always go with him, wash hands afterwards etc. Anyway, the sun is shining here. Today in the sun there was 20%C and it was lovely. Some friends at church told us they were up in the mountins skying in TSHIRTS. Wow how lovely....we hope to get up there once again soon to take some sunny pictures too. For now....we are all asleep nearly as its 10:30 here (even with the new clock) so better sign of leaving you with R;s moves from today in pictures!
Ah another sweet and sad thing I have noticed is that everytime we mention daddy he gets very tense and starts looking for him....can;t wait to be reunited with our lovely daddy no doubt. Also, The nice red jumper was knitted by Grandma Smith and today kept us nice and warm all day it was admired by family and friends.

Hello

We are missing daddy but here is a nice pic of his last feed with Reuben in Romania.
We have tried to spend time having fun while daddy travelled back to UK and to make sure we don;t cry loads and get sad we decided to get some pressies...one a walker and two a swinging chair....Reuben loves so much his walker he keeps following me outside everywhere! He now figured out how to push and then collapse himself and enjoy the ride....even the dog is envying him....
He loves the swing too...unfortunatley the picures are not the best as you can see the rubbish bins behind him in the garden but before him are the gorgeous plants and trees etc.

Anyway, he has a good time. Today we had a hard rime eating (tastes are slightly different here however we tried a banana, some yoghurt and chicken...)it also might be teething. He was taken out by Rebekah and walked around for near;y two hours which he slept and snored....all the way.

Here some pics taken today (except the one with daddy yesterday)

ANOTHER SNOWY DAY

HI THERE

We are having to say bye bye to daddy today as he is returning to UK to work and do the chores ....! We will miss him especially as here he seemed so chilled and happy and able to relax with us. Today he took us all (R, Maria, Granny (Maria;s mum) and adopted Granny Gizi)to Oradea. Maria had a facial (it was brilliant) while JOnathan and R had time to kill so had a walk in the freezing cold and then came to pick mummy up. The grannies went for checkups at the Drs. We all met with the two Annamaria;s too at the MACDONALD (it is the bestest meeting place) and had a nice coffee a chat and Reuben had all the play area to himself most of the time which he loved. We saw huge snowflakes as we made our way home. Both ways Reuben was asleep and enjoyed being in mummy's lap both ways....(don;t tell the British)....
Anyway, here some photos! I hope you can see the nice snowflakes although on the picture I took it looks like rain!

Enjoying the SNOW

Hello Reuben has spent another ADVENTUROUS DAY! We had been to the Market in the morning shopping for fresh veggies and powder milk (ups costs twice what is in UK) and some bits and pieces. We cooked some baby foods (loves the tomatoes and the veggies here)./ then uncle JOseph has taken us out into the moutings (40 minutes away) to enjoy the snow. We did not have much sunshine (maybe its good otherwise we would have been blinded)but the snow was an impressive 40-50cm. There were few people skying and we were impressed with the views. He fell asleep this evening totally exhausted after his bath! It being second day of Easter the boys go out to water the plants "the nice girls" and we had Efi today reciting some nice poems and spraying Hannah with a perfume (they used to use water now its perfume...to show how caring the are with girls....its a tradition around here and its cute one...boys then get a chockolate egy off course years ago was decorated Easter Egg....) I will try to attach this in video too although I doubt it will work I don;t seem to ever be able to attach video's! We are missing some of our friends in UK even if the house is full of kids. XX TO EVERYONE....especially aunty Suzanne and uncle Graham who also celebrated their bdays on the 23rd we have not forgotten! Mxx

Bday

Hello

Today was the official bday of Hanniel! He was 12! Reuben has never seen all these causins and friends and certainly never heard this much noise! We ditched church in the morning so I could do things around for LUNCH as mum was ill in bed. We had lunch then at 3pm the GANG of the Beius kids arrived. We played pass the parcel it was the funniest thing and they never played it before. I thought R will be scared but he went straight in there enjoyed all the attention the girls gave him....occasionaly he stopped and stared at the kids as he would say "play nicely" but really he liked it. THey also played with balloons different games like fencing and such.....Reuben loved all the baloons flying high etc. After church this evening we went to Ibi(my causin) and Daniel (her husband) and three kids, Samuel, Ottniel and Efraim. IT was fab especially when they showed Reuben their mini turtule and R decided it looked yummy enough to eat we weren;t quick enogh to rescue almost! Was scary but gosh are we happy he is not ate it.....

OK! Well here some pics of today! Tomorrow we are planning to go and visit Annamaria (who looked after R in England) in Oradea.

Old Macdonalds

Hello

What a day? We woke to horrible rain and so decided we won;t brave the mountins (and the snow)...instead will go to Macdonalds in Oradea with all the boys and girls in the family. We had a fabulous time...It was great fun (not) trying to look after 6 kids and my own. It was interesting....
We not only had HAPPY MEALS but we also saw a real ba ba black (white) sheep and some gorgeous rabbits....Reuben was screaming with delight. Then we drove back in mad rain. Reuben has a new feeding chair (that seems to have bits missing so is gona be taken back on MOnday)and some new small toys...!
He had a lovely time bathing with Hannah and Hanniel tonight then fell asleep on daddy (see pic( while mummy was helping with Hanniel's birthday cake...(we managed to mess it up twice and make it lumpy). My mum (Maria) has fallen ill today so its been pretty hard seeing her in bed and burning with fever tonight. It seems she was better just before I am off to bed....

Tomorrow is Easter! We are off to church and hope to see our friends. Tradition in Romania is that boys of all ages go to "water the flowers" this means they sprinkle perfume on ladies and recite them pretty poems. This signifies some sort of awakening and the spring as well as the good smell that resurecting the nature after the dead winter...! I am well knackered so will try and get to bed while I can!

Have fun everyone and HAPPY EASTER!

Another Romanian day

Hello

We have enjoyed a wonderful and very arty meal yesterday at Annamaria's (Causin)flat with JOnathan and Reuben. It was so nice....the sun is shining brilliantly and we are so excited to be here. Yesterday while walking in the town we had snow falling which was so amazing and bizarre but so nice....Reuben was enjoying it as well as daddy! I was worried I was gona be stuck in snow soon!

We had a normal night where R was willing to wake at all hours and now that he can sit up and pull himself up that was the excercise through the night. I think I counted a total of 25 wakes with almost as many going back to sleep. He seems to think if he slept 30-40 mins its time to wake again. Each time offcourse we just fall asleep and then he starts again....! I just hope he will settle soon.

He is enjoying the equivallent of the petit fiore youghurts here in Romania...sad to note that there is some sugar in everything....

Here are some pictures of Reuben and the causins and aunty Rebeka. Hannah and Hanniel live in the same house so we see loads of them and R already knows them and plays happily with them....while mummy has her coffee or runs away for some chatting etc.

Today its Good Friday and we have skipped church in the morning but are preparing to go to church in the evening where we are gona meet the rest of the big wide family.

Tomorrow we are planning to go up to the mountins via Budureasa (my brothers camp) and then Sunday we are all home celebrating EASTER!

This is it for now but we will be back with more news!
